What are the different User Types found in GuardianMD v2?


Clinic Account: This is the management account that is created when a client (change to "you") first signs up on the GMD platform. This is the account for your business, whereas the user accounts handle clinical activities. 


Account Permissions: 

  • Manage Users.
  • Manage Billing and Subscriptions.
  • View Physician Information.
  • Upload Documents
  • Start Conversations with Physicians.


From this clinic account you can register 3 different kinds of users (see below).


The 3 types of GuardianMD users are:


Administrative (Non-Clinical) User: 

  • Non-Clinical User accounts create a Clinical Account.
  • Receptionists or someone in the clinic that does not see patients, but needs access to Physician information and protocols for clinical staff.
  • Non-Clinical Users are covered by the Core Compliance Director that is assigned at the clinic level. 1 Core Compliance director will oversee all standard users in the clinic.

Non-Clinical Account Permissions: 

  • View Physician Information.
  • Upload Documents.
  • Start conversations with Physicians.
  • Access Platform Resources.


Standard User: 

  • Any clinician that is not considered advanced practice but holds a license with the state board such as LPN/RN, EMT/Paramedic or Esthetician. 
  • Standard Users are covered by the Core Compliance Director that is assigned at the clinic level. 1 Core Compliance director will oversee all standard users in the clinic.

Standard Account Permissions: 

  • View Physician Information.
  • Upload Documents.
  • Start conversations with Physicians.
  • Access Platform Resources.


Every base plan comes with 1 Standard User license. Additional user type licenses will incur a fee.



Advanced User: 

  • Any clinician that has an advanced practice license. (NPs, PAs)
  • Advanced Users are covered by the Collaborating Physician assigned to them at the user level. Each advanced user in the clinic will have their own Collaborating Physician.

Advanced User Account Permissions: 

  • View Physician Information.
  • Upload Documents.
  • Start conversations with Physicians.
  • Access Platform Resources.


Every base plan comes with 1 Advanced User license. Additional user type licenses will incur a fee.
